Hurley Launches Their Lightest Board Shorts and First-Ever Compression Line

Hurley continues to innovate when it comes to water-specific apparel, now introducing their lightest boardshorts yet, the Phantom Hyperweave. Their team of athletes will be donning the new bottoms during the 2016 World Surf League World Championship Tour in Australia, in addition to the brand’s Phantom Compression apparel.

The new board shorts are an updated version of Hurley’s heralded Phantom shorts, now boasting 50% less bulk than traditional trunks. They feature a Hyperweave waistband comprised of a single woven layer a free-floating magwires that are placed throughout to provide with an adaptive fit. The lightweight, stretch fabric also allows for an enhanced range of motion and maximum protection.

Hurley’s first-ever compression line is of course specifically designed for water and most notably, warm water performance. The technical fabric is made up of 50-gauge knit that absorbs minimally, in turn providing a fast feeling as you move through the water. The range consists of quarter-length and three-quarter-length surf shorts, a short-sleeve surf shirt, and long-sleeve surf shirt with performance patterning promoting.
